The writer’s nightmare
At right is a picture of everything you need to breed anxiety in a writer:
- A clean printout of a 330-page novel manuscript that must be read carefuly, page by page
- A notebook in which to write all of the faults you find
- A bottomless cup of dam fine coffee, because you’re not nervous enough already
Fortunately, I also have copies of “One-Pass Manuscript Revision” and “How to Revise a Novel” by Holly Lisle to metaphorically hold my hand.
That, and a December 31st deadline, are all I need. I’ll still be around, posting as usual, but part of me will be here for the rest of the month.
