| One of my favorite pictures. Nan and Pop at home on Kenmore Avenue in Warren, Ohio, 1946. It's ten after nine on the mantlepiece clock, the fire's going and the spaniel probably just gave a breathy sigh of satisfaction. This heartwarming scene looks like a movie still. I expect Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland to come dashing through the door at left and ask if they can use the barn for a show to raise money to save the orphanage. |
