The first challenge. The evil stepmom lays down the smack and the first of three quests. Note the Disney influences: the girl's dress looks a lot like Snow's, and the animals are beginning to keep an eye on the unfolding story.

What I couldn't figure out -- and I'll be a three-year-old girl's smart enough to pick up on this -- is, why? Eeeeevil stepmom's got free labor, and the girl obviously doesn't eat much, and is probably given only a bit of gruel and some bark now and then. What does she want to do with the feathers?

I don't think I want to know.
