First names only

All Disney employees bore name tags giving only their first name. Even the captain was known only as Captain Tom. So I carried over the custom here. One supposes there were several reasons for this: security, privacy, the ease with which good and bad service can be recorded, the encouragement of intimacy without invading into a person's private space by knowing their last name, and -- let's face it -- it's only four days. How much do you want to know about your servers? But for the record, Joe was our stateroom host from the Philippines and our dining room stewards were Kumai (chief) and Raj (assistant), both from India. The rest you'll met later.
