Books on board

The book offerings on board the ship were pathetic. This is particularly amazing since Disney owns Hyperion, which publishes a range of interesting fiction, but also the coffee-table books on all the movies. I can't imagine abetter way to promote their authors by making their books available to a captive audience on board the ship.

Anyway, to satisfy my curiousity, I began keeping track of my fellow passengers' reading material. Some facts worth noting: paperbacks far outnumbered hardcovers and trade paperbacks, only one copy of each title was seen. Only works by John Grisham and Danielle Steel were seen more than once.
